Protein Advanced Biochemistry

PAB is a laboratory for the production and analysis of proteins and peptides, coordinated by Professor Marcius da Silva Almeida.

Created in December 18, 2017, we are part of the National Center for Structural Biology and Bioimaging (CENABIO), with the support of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry Leopoldo de Meis (IBqM).

We use our expertise to design clones, establish production protocols, mainly in Escherichia coli, prepare purification processes and characterize proteins by biochemical or biophysical analytical methods.

Productive methods can be scalable for the production of biopharmaceuticals, proteins for molecular diagnostic, or enzymes for bioprocessing, which are our main focus.
